This Year's #Much Needed: Ladies' Night Out!

February is always a full time party for me, so many bday celebrations. Can you imagine the craziness? It's the 23rd day in and I'm seriously just catching my breath from days full of over the top fun. Hanging out with the ladies is always great, we share our drama, especially the stuff we can't say over the phone or through a text message. We get to let out and be wild and don't care who sees. We get to wear the dress we've been dreaming about all week and those shoes that hurt but don't care because w it's Ladies' Night Out and we deserves all the necessary attention.
This year let LNO happen frequently, it's therapeutic especially when it's with your best girlies. For some of us it's a mixture of family and friends or just one or the other. How ever you have it, take advantage of the moments you share, trust me you'll find yourself being saved a few times. I know I do! I love laughing at what we share and the stupid things we do. I admit that I sometimes hate it when my girlies keep it too real with me at times but love the fact they care.

This year the girls and I have decided to be fearless so we're doing things out of our norm. Our  most favorite LNO was to... SIN City! Don't judge... we had major fun and tipped all the best dancers! We loved their moves so much, we scheduled pole dancing classes two days later and I must say some of us are pretty damn flexible :).

I hope you enjoy the pics from some of our LNOs!

Intimate Obsessions: Getting Out Your Comfort Zone

Ladies I know were juggling a thousand things at once but there is no excuse for tacky underwear. Some of us are hanging on to those cotton panties that should've been ditched long ago, yes the ones that has "leave me alone" written all over them, throw them away. Fast PLEASE! What about that favorite bra we won't give up? The wire is out and the shape gives nothing, yes it's time to throw that crap away too. Your intimate wardrobe is way over due for an upgrade. It doesn't matter if you single, a mother of 5, married for 10 years or a virgin, our underwear is important. Intimacy starts within and bras and panties are the greatest accessory. Don't wait until V Day to get that something sexy from your partner or you buying "lucky panties" just to score. Bring out that sexy B$TcH all year round!

Trust me I've been there and thought I was long gone from crazy habits but then realized...

I've been working for a top lingerie apparel company for the last 4 years and although I have great intimate apparel, I stick with my basic routine: a black push up bra and a matching black thong or hip cheekie. I buy color all the time but find myself only wearing them once in a blue moon. I wear push up bras because I love the cleavage and I hardly ever wear, well almost never wear any without padding. I realized I've been stuck in the same routine for years! It happens to the best of us but we have to switch it up. How many of you out there are stuck in the same routine and dying to try something new? As for me, I'm going shopping for unlined bras preferably lace in bright colors and I will update you on my ventures hopefully you'll be inspired to change your norm too.

Stay tuned for more on intimate obsessions!

Oh, Love

Were 4 days into this crazy month of love and 10 days away from that one day that gets every female going crazy. Cupid has his tricks and treats this year, well at least for me he does. Many of you are in love with that one guy who stole you're heart years ago, some may have just laid eyes on that special one, some are dating for fun and others may be heart broken or in a ruff spot this year. Either way, LOVE is on all of our minds and for some strange reason February is always the highlighted month for it all. WHY? I guess it's because of all the marketing and media overload people always seem to fall into the Valentine craze but if we feel special all year around, Valentine's Day will just be another day. Easier said than done, right?

Love will never be easy and finding the right one comes with a lot of struggle. We just need to get to the bottom of what we want and I think it might clear out a lot of fog. Why should we settle for less? We as females are protective and love to conquer and get high off feeling like we won our lover's heart. My cousin Brisette said something to me the other day that struck me deeply, "Why should we always be the one who works it out and stay around?, Why can't we learn to be the girl that got away?" She's right, sometimes walking away and letting things work it on it's own is best but it's just not that easy for many.

This month for you and I, I'm writing about that four letter word that drives us insane and to the deep end. Stuff people wouldn't dare to write about, I surely will. It's the point of no return and who ever decides to tune it, great, just hold on to your seat. It will be a bumpy road but a much needed destination.

See You later January, Hello February

Towards the end of each year, many people make a list of what they want to change in the new year. Some list are longer than others but for the most part there is a list. Mines was quite simple, to be sexier than the year before. Yes indeed! I'm not talking about more revealing clothes and higher heels. I'm talking the depth of the soul sexy, something you can't buy but only build. That's the sexy that keeps you going and when stuff gets out of order and upside down, you can kick it right back.  Of course before we can conquer our goals there is always a bump in the road.

Jan 1st came and with out a knock, a heartbreak entered my already crowded house. With no where else to go and no open arms, I let it in, with all it's baggage. Feeling overwhelmed with so many different emotions, I ask myself, how am I going to get my sexy now? A few days into the new month, I was already facing challenges that would change an important part of my life. Asking myself the same questions over and over, replaying the last five years of my life in my head like a song you love but forgotten all the words to. How did I get here? How was I living? I'm breathing but am I really living? I thought my life was ok, I was in love, have my family and friends, a career and my own place. What else did I need? Wait! Did I not ask for a new sexy? Did I think I was going to get it just that easy?

God has a plan for me and I know it's best, he makes no mistakes and gives only blessings. That new found sexy will come with a fight and I'm up for it. As the love month enters, I go in with a open mind and a crowded heart. Let's just hope I have a little room for whoever deserves it.

Hello February!

Braless For The Day!

braless

braless by madameq featuring mesh bras

This month has been crazy for me... really crazy, I mean to the point I ran out to do errands in a button down top, no bra and skinny jeans. Yes no bra! Don't judge me, I don't know what made me forget or shall I say not care. It felt good and I think I'm going to commit to doing it more often, well at least on my off days. One may ask what's the big deal? Well I'm a push up girl and a firm believer in the support of a bra and the only time I never wear one is if a top or a dress don't require one or if I'm in the comfort of my home. Besides I didn't realize it was missing until I reached in my shirt to get money and to my surprise I didn't have any because I wasn't wearing my hidden purse. I'm so old school but hey it works when you need to ditch your oversize bag to stash money or a card in your bra just to run out to grab lunch or etc. Any who, When I realized my breast armor was gone, I felt naughty and of course sexy. I even unbutton a few notches to give me a little more edge. The funny thing is, no one else knew, it was my little secret which made it much fun. I'll tell you one thing, I got stuff that usually takes me all day to do done in a few hours. I guess I had a little more pep in my step thanks to not wearing a bra.

Dear: Fearless 2011

2011

2011 by madameq featuring sports gloves

2010 was a pretty good year despite that fact I got mugged which forced me to move out of my old neighborhood. My old boss pushed me over the limit which left me to do less of everything that didn't involve work. All of the exhaustion and anxiety led to some pretty great things: a promotion and a brand new apartment all to myself! As I look back, everything that didn't make sense then, adds up now. Some how our sufferings and sacrifices leads to freedom and growth. Funny, no one seems to notice the beauty of pain until we overcome it.
2011 it's all about living my life as fearless as possible. I'm up for a lot more than ever... I'm not going to run around NYC in the nude but I'll sure go to a nude beach in the west indies or some other exotic part of the world.  Hey, why not? We only live once right? Stop all of the WHAT IFs and IDKs, you would never know unless you try. I'm not just talking nude beaches, I'm talking things you desire to do, but never had the confidence to do so. Just try not to hurt the ones you love in the midst of it. If you tell the truth it shall set you free and you'll gain their respect in time.

Kick as in 2011!

What's on my to do list for 2011?

1. Spend more time with loved ones :)
2. Travel somewhere exotic ( wherever there is a nude beach)
3.  Invest $ more in future plans
4. Join a volunteer charity
5. Learn how to drive
6. Get a learners permit
7. Get a driver's license
8. open space ( I might add something later)
9. another open space
10. buy a car!!!!!!

I'll definitely keep you posted on all of my accomplishments so stay tuned!

"New Shoes"

A wise women once told me, " a boyfriend is like your favorite pair of shoes". I took some thought into her statement and then asked her why?  She said, "Well think about it, you have had hundreds of shoes, lots of them you like and others you hardly use. There are a few of them you wear for certain occasions but only because you have no time to buy anything else. Then there is that one pair, you love and wear constantly and no matter how old they are, they never go out of style. The soles have worn out and the heels have broken down several times. You still hold on, fixing them time after time, hoping and praying they'll last. One day you get fed up with these favorite shoes and store them away. You shop all over town to find something new. You hope to get that same feeling you had for the last, you know the feeling... you can't live with out em, you just have to have them, no matter how much it cost! Finally you spot those shoes, they are calling your name and so you try them on and of course it's seems like a perfect fit. You take them home, try them on with different outfits, walk around in them all week so you can break them in. It's a few weeks now and your new shoes aren't quite what you thought they will be. You stop wearing them for a few days and pull out your random shoes just to give them another try. Of course nothing changed about them so you send them and your new pair away to charity. Without shame, you pull out your favorite shoes and slip them on with love, hoping to have a never ending story."

A wise man once said "For many men, the love of our life is like our good shoes". I looked at him and said what? Please explain. "We men all have our good shoes, which is like our favorite, we can depend on them to carrie us through the storm, show us out and makes us feel good. We want these shoes to be with us until they can't wear anymore. We don't have time to get them fix and don't really care to fix them. We store them in a box so nothing scuffs them and for them to stay fresh. We have our other shoes but they're nothing like the good pair that keeps us coming back. Those other shoes are just there for play so we let our friends borrow them because they're here for the moment and definitely replaceable. Sometimes we forget about our good shoes and what they've carried us through so every time we slip them back on, we pray they still fit them same.

So ladies and gents, I ask... what pair are you?
