Spring 2010: Dance Hall Queen

I'm loving Rihanna's Rude Boy video, her wardrobe and dance routines reminds me of an old school reggae track. As soon as I hear the song, I feel like dubbing in the mirror to Beanie Man's "Dane Hall Queen" while wearing cut up shorts and an all lace top. Seriously! Well I don't have to be the only one , this spring/summer its all about having that tuff girl attitude when it comes to your style so being bright and outrageous is definitely a go.

Beautiful St. Lucia

The ship docks in St. Lucia at 8 am and the sun is shining bright into our room. I run to the balcony and right before me, a beautiful island stares me in the face. I awake my boyfriend and we hurry to get dress because we can't wait to see what the island has to offer.

While touring Castries, the capital city of St. Lucia, we visit an art studio, historic landmarks, shops and get to stop and talk with some natives.

Oh St. Thomas!

Visiting the Virgin Island of St. Thomas is a must! The taxi ride to the beach alone is an experience itself. The higher we climb the mountain, the island appears more beautiful. However, driving up is scary because there are no traffic signals or anything so cars go at the speed they like. Thankfully they drive with a special skill and a natural caution.

Favorite activities on island: Beach and sipping on a mango colada

My reccessionista moment: As soon as I reach the beach, I scrub white sand all over my body. Its like getting new and improved skin for free with out the extra ingredients.

High Lights: Nicole Miller and Cartier rave the shopping strip,
the Green House have some of the best coladas in town
