Miami Heat

The four days I spent in Miami were fabulous and my oh my the drinks were great for the heat. I loved being away at the beach, having cocktails on the rooftops and dining in the middle of the market way. Now I know I can do all of those things + more here in NYC but it's a whole different experience when you don't have to listen to loud vehicles in the mix. Oh Miami you will truly be missed!

Bronx Tales: Exploring Culture

Hey People,
Having two days off back to back has been glorious! Getting some "ME TIME" while exploring the Bronx so I'm off to see a few exhibits at the Bronx Museum. I'll share with you my thoughts and other interesting things and people I come across!

Where To Go?

My friends and I are planning a vacation for Memorial Day weekend and we are trying to figure out where to go. There is about 6 of us so you know that's 12 different personalities. I hope you caught on because you know we females can be picky, inconsiderate, sassy, crazy but most of all tardy. I know you saying "damn that's rude of her to say" but I know myself and I know my friends. I love them because they are them not to mention educated, successful in their own rights and of course beautiful. This process is taking far too long so I need your help. Where should we go?

P.S Miami is a no go... I do not want to see the whole of New York City (no disrespect to who is going).

Somewhere In the Mountains

My boyfriend and I believe that a relationship is full of its ups and downs but it's what you do together that makes it stronger. Traveling together is our thing, exploring new places and experiencing new things keeps us connected. Last year we went to Vegas and a 7 day caribbean cruise, you can imagine the heat we share. This year we decide to head to the mountains and we have a blast.

Beautiful St. Lucia

The ship docks in St. Lucia at 8 am and the sun is shining bright into our room. I run to the balcony and right before me, a beautiful island stares me in the face. I awake my boyfriend and we hurry to get dress because we can't wait to see what the island has to offer.

While touring Castries, the capital city of St. Lucia, we visit an art studio, historic landmarks, shops and get to stop and talk with some natives.


Island Highlights and Facts:

Influenced by French, English and African culture

Secondary Language: Creole

Popular Dance: Quadrille, a dance performed by couples, similar to square dancing

Popular Music Genres : soca, zouk and reggae

Popular Drink: Piton, named after two historic mountains (Pitons)


My Best Moment:

Drinking a cola while the rain falls lightly on my face . It showers for only 2 minutes and the sun comes back out.

My Fashionista Moment: purchasing pink shell and pearl bracelet
